Nuveg was established in 2012 by husband and wife team, Ivan and Antoinette Smook in their kitchen at home. They have a passion for food and produce a quality pre-cooked product based on traditional South African recipes that tastes as if Mom made it especially for you – every time. To preserve these wholesome dishes which are to be enjoyed quick and fresh, given the fast pace of modern life, the Smooks found innovative ways to do just that.
FROZEN FROM FRESH Nuveg are the first and only producer of a range of pre-cooked, frozen freezer-friendly, individually wrapped portions of vegetables that gives the consumer the complete freedom of choice and that is ready to eat in minutes. Preparing Nuveg meals are simple and easy; simply pop the desired portions into a microwave oven, follow the heating instructions and serve. Even older children that can operate a microwave oven can prepare Nuveg meals trouble free.
Each Nuveg box contains individually microwavable wrapped pre-cooked portions of 60g to 175g,depending on the product. The range provides for an optimal choice of vegetables per meal with no wastage. You only use what you need and the rest stay protected in the freezer. Nuveg packaging prevents freezer burn.

Being a vegetarian (I do eat fish from to time for the protein) but no meats, nor chicken.
